Strengthening DAC’s Next Chapter: Welcoming Luis Guillermo Salazar as Fractional CTO
By Daniel A. Correa, Managing Director

Luis Guillermo Salazar
Fractional CTO
As DAC approaches its 10-year anniversary on 8 August, I have found myself reflecting not only on how far we have come, but also on what is required to build the right foundations for the decade ahead.
Over the last ten years, DAC has grown from a specialist consultancy into an international business supporting clients across complex engineering, construction, forensic, and dispute-related matters. That growth has been driven first and foremost by the quality of our people and, in particular, by the calibre, independence, and integrity of our experts.
Those qualities remain at the centre of everything we do.
At the same time, growth brings responsibility. As a business expands across offices, jurisdictions, and disciplines, it must ensure that its internal systems, information management, and operational infrastructure evolve at the same pace as its commercial success. Strong expertise alone is not enough. To support the next stage of DAC’s development, we must continue to invest in the structures that help our people perform at their best.
It is for that reason that I am very pleased to welcome Luis Guillermo Salazar to DAC as our Fractional CTO and as a member of the DAC Core Group.
Luis brings more than 20 years of international experience in technology leadership, spanning fintech, banking technology, SaaS delivery, enterprise systems, and digital transformation. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution, helping organisations implement and manage CRM and ERP systems, build high-performing technology teams, and establish governance frameworks that allow businesses to scale with discipline and clarity.
He is also the Founder and Managing Director of Lumiatech Solutions Ltd, a boutique AI and digital transformation advisory consultancy.
Luis joins DAC at an important time in our journey. As we enter our tenth year, we are not simply looking to grow larger - we are focused on growing better. That means strengthening the operational and technological foundations of the business so that DAC can continue to deliver exceptional expert services across the UK, UAE, the Americas, and beyond.
In practical terms, Luis’s role will focus on helping DAC strengthen three key areas:
- our technology infrastructure and internal systems;
- the protection and governance of our information; and
- the responsible use of digital and AI tools to improve efficiency and support our experts.
This last point is particularly important.
DAC operates in a field where independence, impartiality, and professional judgement are fundamental. Much of our work is also highly confidential. For that reason, our approach to technology and AI must always be careful, secure, and aligned with the professional duties that define expert work. Technology should support our experts - not replace them. It should improve efficiency, organisation, and insight, while never compromising the integrity of the expert opinion itself.
That is precisely the approach Luis brings.
His appointment reflects something that I believe strongly: for a modern expert and forensic consultancy, systems are not secondary. They are a core pillar of sustainable growth. If expert capability is one pillar of DAC, and our international reach and team are another, then robust systems and responsible technology are the third pillar that will underpin the next phase of our development.
Over the coming months, Luis will work closely with our teams to better understand how DAC operates today across systems, processes, and data, and to help shape a clear roadmap for the future. His focus will be practical and measured - identifying where technology can improve efficiency, support collaboration across offices, strengthen information protection, and create a more scalable platform for the business as a whole.
This is not change for the sake of change. It is about building the right foundations for the future.
As we celebrate ten years of DAC, I am proud of what we have built so far, and equally excited about what comes next. Welcoming Luis to the business is an important step in that journey.
