Daniel Correa is the Managing Director of DAC Consulting Services worldwide. Daniel is a Mechanical Engineer by profession, and holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Manchester. Daniel has also completed a Senior Management Programme at the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.


Daniel is a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom, a member of the Mechanical Engineering Institute in London, a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Member of the Project Management Institute, a Member of the Academy of Experts, and a Member (and Director) of the Expert Witness Institute.


Daniel has extensive experience as a Senior Forensic Engineer, as a Technical Expert, and as a Scheduling Expert (Forensic Delay and Disruption Analysis), with a wide range of expertise within the Engineering and Construction sectors.


Daniel has been appointed by lawyers, insurers, and corporations in various occasions, to analyse different types of complex claims. In the Construction sector Daniel has been appointed as a Delay Expert, tasked with the assessment of the timeline of a project, both in a prospective manner (to suggest accelerating actions and monitoring of a construction Project), and in a retrospective manner (to examine the actions or inactions that could have generated delays in a project as well as cost overruns).


Similarly, Daniel has been appointed on several occasions as a Coordinating Expert, leading complex construction disputes by managing different commercial and technical disciplines. This has led to the preparation of comprehensive and cohesive Expert Reports under one organised group.


Daniel has acted as an expert witness in various jurisdictions. He has given evidence before arbitral tribunals (including ICC, LCIA, DIAC) and in High Court (UK) on a number of occasions, and has been deposed in the US.

Efstathios (“Stathis”) is the Head of Power of DAC Consulting Services in EMEA.
Efstathios is a Senior Electrical Engineer with over 20 years of experience, having been for more than 10 years responsible for supervising the construction of Power Plants for P.P.C. S.A. (Greece), with regard to Electrical and I&C parts, including IT & Telecoms infrastructure. He has also been conducting top-class training courses for Engineers of large corporations in the Middle East.


He brings extensive experience in claims and disputes arising from power equipment design, installation, commissioning and operations, in which he served either as Forensic Investigator, RCA Expert, Claims Evaluator, Expert Witness, or Subject Matter Expert.


Efstathios’ technical knowledge level in all the disciplines he masters, combined with his dispute resolution experience, makes him an ideal asset for leading technical consultancy teams supporting complex arbitration, construction claims and loss adjustment cases.

Senior Mechanical and Forensic Engineer leading expert witness investigations in specific disputes and complex equipment claims on behalf of DAC. His investigations have included equipment such as turbines, motors, generators, piping, between others.

 

Has been appointed to perform Forensic Engineering investigations on the failure of Mechanical Equipment, including Root Cause Analysis, and Reinstatement Assessment for Insurers and Lawyers in various applications.



Has been appointed as an Expert Witness in a dispute regarding the failures of a pipe test rig in the UK, for an ICC arbitration, and has been appointed as technical expert in various complex insurance claims related to turbine, boiler, and piping damages.

 

He is a qualified and highly experienced Design Engineer as well as board member in well-known and established engineering companies. Experienced in Project Management, Project Engineering, Piping Design including Stress & Materials and Packaged Equipment Specification.

 

Familiar with the design, including all major codes, for piping, pipelines, boilers, pressure vessels, valves, topsides equipment and swivel stack assemblies, with a detailed expert level of knowledge of all types of turret mooring systems (internal, external and dis-connectable) and also CALM buoys.

He has applied his engineering expertise in forensics to determine the cause of failure in civil-related losses, leading and assisting the team in estimating the repair cost, overseeing the whole process from the project management to the on-site visit, and delivering the reports to the clients. He has also investigated the cause of fire for various insurance claims in LATAM.

 

Miguel has both forensic engineering and business development responsibilities stemming out of Mexico, and focused in LATAM and North America (both on insurance claims and expert witness work).
